The William Bridge students have astounded me with their multi-talents. \u00a0 For our\u00a0Water is Life\u00a0<\/em>project, they have had to:<\/p>\n

PLAY INSTRUMENTS (This is them playing the thunder sheets)<\/p>\n

EVEN DRAW (inspired by\u00a0Raindrops Keep Falling on My Head<\/em>)<\/em><\/p>\n

But my favorite skill they have learned is to LISTEN<\/p>\n

Each session has begun with a short deep listening exercise (or a masked way of saying “meditation”), to center the students, attune them to the sounds in their surrounding environment, and ready them to be good musical collaborators. \u00a0And boy, has it worked!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
